Help us Warm up Bootle this Springtime

Strand shopping centre unveils its latest Helping Hand project

The Strand shopping centre embarks upon its Helping Hand project this Springtime as it launches the second of its community focused campaigns designed to help the local community of Bootle. This year The Shopping Centre will be working with a range of local community groups providing help and support to the local community it serves and is pleased to launch its Warm up Bootle campaign. The Shopping Centre is launching its Warm up Bootle campaign to collect clothing and toiletries to help the homeless community around the area and it needs your help! With homelessness being on the rise across the country The Strand wanted to run something which may physically benefit its local community and charities supporting the homeless community. It is appealing to shoppers, businesses and locals to donate any clean used clothing to our Helping hand unit on Mons Square where the team will be sorting through these donations and distributing them amongst local groups. Rowland Parry Centre Manager commented ‘The aim is to get our donations to the heart of those in our community who really need them. We are also looking for local shelters and support centres who would like to come forward to receive donations. We understand the economic challenges facing some members of our community and if we can help in this way we would like to do so.’ The idea to set up the Helping Hand warm up Bootle collection unit on Mons Square is one of just a few projects to come from The Strand’s management team this year. If you are a local community group or charity that could benefit from The Strand’s Helping Hand Warm up Bootle campaign you can contact The Strand’s management team by emailing to [email protected] Please not donations are not for resale and must be donated directly to member of the public through a charity or official organisation.
