Making The Strand More Accessible, Inclusive & Welcoming to All
As part of our ongoing commitment to making vital improvements to The Strand, our new toilet facilities have been designed to better support the needs of our visitors and their families.
✨ Here’s what’s now available:
Changing Places – Specialist accessible facilities with extra space and equipment for people who need additional support, including those with complex care needs.
Accessible Toilets – Both left-hand and right-hand transfer options, plus ambulant accessible toilets in both the ladies and gents.
Family-Friendly Facilities – Baby changing facilities, adult and child-height toilets, and a child-height urinal to help make visits easier for families.
Quiet Room – A calm, dedicated space for a variety of needs, including feeding, prayer and anyone who may just need a little quiet time.
Shopmobility – Free wheelchair hire is available from our Management Office, helping more people enjoy their visit to The Strand.

Cllr Peter Harvey, Sefton Council did a sterling job, he had a dump in every cubicle and left skiddies on every pan to mark his dump was here

This FREE family event is packed with entertainment for little witches, wizards and monsters. Children can meet Halloween Mickey & Minnie and the fabulous Wednesday, before dancing along to our Halloween disco, joining in with party games, bubbles, songs and lots of fantastic entertainment.
There’s plenty more to discover, including a Halloween-themed craft zone, where children can get creative, plus a prize to be won for our Best dressed competition!
